Kazakhstan increases production, export of oil

In January-April 2018, the volume of oil production in Kazakhstan amounted to 25.4 million tons, which is 7.2 percent more than in the same period of 2017, Energy Prom reported.

Sixty-one percent from the total share of oil produced in Kazakhstan during the mentioned period were provided by the country’s Atyrau region, 23 percent - by the Mangistau region, 8 percent by the Kyzylorda region and 7 percent by the Aktyubinsk region.

The oil production in Atyrau region, in turn increased by 13.1 percent year over year, in April 2018, to 15.5 million tons.

In the first quarter of 2018 Kazakhstan exported more than 16 million tons of crude oil, which is 4.7 percent more than the same period in 2017.

The volume of sales of Kazakh oil in the domestic market increased by 29.4 percent.

Exports of crude oil and petroleum products in the first quarter of 2018 amounted to 8.2 billion tenge, surpassing the same indicator for the first quarter of 2017 by 35.5 percent.

The main importing countries of Kazakh oil are Italy, the Netherlands and France.
