Russian company ESTM can export special coiled tubing pipes to Azerbaijan for oil and gas industry, Sales Director of the company Ruslan Saldeev told Trend on the sidelines of the 25th Anniversary International Caspian Oil & Gas Conference in Baku.
"We manufacture our products at the plant in the Tula region of Russia. We are supplying pipes of various kinds for coiled tubing upon orders of our customers. For now, our products are sold only on the domestic market. But, we intend also to arrange exports. The Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR, as well as oilfield service companies have already shown interest in our stand. In general, the Azerbaijani market, along with the market of the Middle East is very interesting for us," Saldeev said.
Coiled tubing is one of the promising and developing areas of specialized equipment designed for the oil and gas industry. This technology is based on use of flexible continuous pipes, which replace traditional prefabricated drill pipes for working inside wells. Due to their flexibility such pipes are able to provide access even to lateral and horizontal trunks. In addition, there is no need to perform assembly/disassembly operations of the drill string.
The technology is widely used in technological, as well as repair and restoration work carried out on gas, oil and gas condensate wells.
