Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit State Concern has expressed interest and willingness to cooperate in testing the bottom-hole zone treatment technologies at producing wells, the concern said in a statement.
In addition, the concern is particularly interested in cooperation on such pressing issues as waterproofing repair work and elimination of behind-the-casing water flows in the oil and gas wells, said Chairman of Turkmennebit Dovletdurdy Hajiyev at the recent energy forum.
The aspects of cooperation with foreign companies that are ready to offer modern technologies and equipment, including those related to the development of the business process in the field of consumption and distribution of natural gas were touched upon in the speech.
About ten million tons of oil is produced annually in the country, and Turkmennebit State Concern is the main producer. There are such companies as Burren Energy (Eni branch), Mitro, Dragon Oil, and Petronas among the foreign companies producing oil in Turkmenistan.
