Ukrtransnafta PJSC (operator of the oil transportation system of Ukraine) has sold 5,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil of Azeri Light grade on e-trading at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange platform, the enkorr news agency reported.
The oil was offered from the tanks of the Yuzhny offshore oil terminal.
One of companies of the Privat Group bought the oil for the Kremenchug refinery, according to the information.
Ukrtransnafta company sold 42,800 tons of Azeri Light at the exchange trading in the second half of 2017. Kremenchug refinery purchased 32,000 tons of Azeri Light from this volume.
In 2018, the Kremenchug refinery announced plans to increase processing by 24 percent (0.6 million tons) up to 3.1 million tons, while it is unlikely to fulfill these plans during the first five months of 2018.
In January-May 2018, Ukrtransnafta PJSC imported 330,000 tons of oil compared to 307,000 tons for the same period last year.
Ukrtransnafta PJSC is the operator of the oil transportation system of Ukraine.
