Afghanistan and UAE buy liquefied gas in Turkmenistan

Some 31 deals were registered last week at the trading of the state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan, the agency stated July 23.

Entrepreneurs from the UAE and Afghanistan have bought liquefied gas produced at the Turkmenbashi oil refinery. The diesel fuel produced at the Seidi refinery was the subject of transactions by representatives of the business circles of Switzerland, Afghanistan, etc.

In addition, cotton yarn, industrial cotton, Portland cement, as well as colorless sheet glass were sold. Countries-buyers were Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan.

The total amount of transactions exceeded $36 million.

The enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership, citizens of Turkmenistan and other states can be participants of the exchange trading by acquiring a brokerage place or concluding a service contract with the brokers of the exchange.

The main export items are petroleum products, cotton fiber, products of local textile and chemical industries.
