Kazakhstan increases oil exports by over 6%

The volume of oil and condensate production in Kazakhstan amounted to 52.9 million tons in the first seven months of 2018, which is 6.1 percent more than in the same period of 2017, Kazakh Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said at a government meeting, Kazakh media reported.

He said that over the seven months of 2018, the main indicators of the fuel and energy sector show positive growth dynamics.

“Oil production at the Kashagan field amounted to 7.37 million tons, at the Tengiz field - 17.2 million tons, at the Karachaganak field - 7.3 million tons,” the minister said.

Bozumbayev added that oil exports amounted to 42.8 million tons of oil, which is 6.1 percent more than in the same period of 2017.

“The volume of oil refining amounted to 9.17 million tons of oil, which is a 4.5 percent growth compared to the same period last year,” the minister said.
