Last week, 58 deals were registered at the auction of the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, the exchange said in a statement Oct. 1.
Businessmen from the UAE, Turkey and Afghanistan have purchased diesel fuel, gasoline and liquefied gas. The Russian and British entrepreneurs purchased industrial grade coal and high density polyethylene.
Also colorless sheet glass and cotton yarn have been sold. The buyers are Russia, Hong Kong, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The total amount of transactions exceeded $89,709,000.
The enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership, citizens of Turkmenistan and other states can become participants of the exchange trading by acquiring a brokerage place or by concluding a service contract with the brokers of the exchange.
The main export items are petroleum products, cotton fiber, products of the domestic textile industry, chemical industry.
