Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR drilled over 42,000 meters in July-September 2018, which is 43 percent more than in the same period of 2017, said a message posted on the company’s website on Oct. 16.
SOCAR drilled 138,000 meters in 2017 compared to 105,250 meters in 2016.
SOCAR includes such production unions as Azneft (enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerikimya (the chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributor of gas produced in the country), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies and facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
