Another wind power farm to be built in Turkey - ministry

The Ovacik wind power farm will be built in the Turkish western province of Izmir, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey told Trend Oct. 24.

It will be built in the district of ​​Bergama.

It was noted that in this regard the process of land privatization has already begun.

The ministry stated that the total cost of the project is 55 million Turkish liras.

As previously reported, within two years, 10 wind power farms will be built in Turkey.

Former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Berat Albayrak noted earlier that Turkey plans to invest $1 billion in the development of renewable energy sources.

He said the construction of new power plants will increase Turkey’s energy security.
