Share of natural gas in electricity production exceeds 30% in Turkey

The share of natural gas in electricity production decreased by 1.91 percent in Turkey and 25,885.07 megawatts of electricity were produced in August 2018, according to the report of the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

The share of electricity produced using natural gas is 31.38 percent, according to the report.

In August 2018, a capacity of 82,485.34 megawatts was ensured in Turkey as a whole, which is 3.62 percent more than in the same month of 2017.
