The production volume at the Umid field amounted to 500 million cubic meters of natural gas and over 79,000 tons of condensate in 2018, the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR told Trend Jan. 9.
Since the start of development (in 2011), roughly two billion cubic meters of natural gas have been extracted at the field. In 2017, production at the field amounted to about 520 million cubic meters of natural gas and 84,000 tons of condensate.
More than 1.25 million cubic meters of gas and 200 tons of condensate are produced daily at the field.
Moreover, Umid is included in the Umid-Babek block of deposits. SOCAR has a long-term development program for the Umid-Babek block, thanks to which it will be able to receive annually up to five billion cubic meters of gas from the Umid field only.
