Polypropylene plant commissioned in southern Turkmenistan

The opening ceremony of a plant for the production of plastic bags and polypropylene pipes was held in Bayramaly city of Turkmenistan’s Mary region, Trend reports referring to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper on Jan. 10.

According to the contract concluded with the ‘Eshretli Kenar’ company, the plant was constructed upon a turnkey project by local ‘Alemabat’ company.

The company is designed to produce 1,800 tons of various polyethylene films and 257 tons of high-quality polypropylene water pipes with a diameter of 20-60 millimeters.

The demand for these types of products is constantly growing throughout the world. The products of the company are planned to be exported abroad in the future.

The polyethylene film is widely used as a packaging material in agricultural production, textile industry and food industry. Polyethylene is widely used as a raw material for the production of films, packages, as well as for insulation of electrical cables.
