By Leman Zeynalova, Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

Iran will put on 1 million barrels of oil for sale on the Energy Exchange for the third time on Jan.21, said Director of the International Affairs Department at National Iranian Oil Company Saeed Khoshru.

He noted that Iran will sell 1 million barrels of oil in 35,000-barrel-cargos for $52.42 per barrel, Trend reports citing ILNA.

He noted that it will be possible to pay for this oil with foreign currencies or Iranian rial via the SANA system. Moreover, the payment period has been increased from 60 to 90 days.

“The necessary permissions have been received from Iranian government, parliament and the judiciary body. It is planned to put on sale 1 million barrels of oil on the Energy Exchange at this stage. The decision on the volumes of future oil sales will be made depending on the results of these sales,” he said.

Iran has twice sold oil via the Energy Exchange since the beginning of the current Iranian year (which started March 21, 2018).

SANA system announces the rate of foreign currencies in Iran’s exchange offices.
