Iran will add 700 megawatts of electricity to its national power grid in the first month of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Managing Director of Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPHC) Mohsen Tarztalab said, Trend reports via Iranian Energy Ministry website.
He noted that there are plans to add 400 megawatts of electricity to the power grid in the second month.
He added that the repair work at all Iranian thermal power plants starts in summer when the peak period ends and continues until the beginning of the next peak period.
“In accordance with forecasts, the potential of Iran’s power plants will reach about 85,000 megawatts by the end of this Iranian year (until March 21, 2020),” he said.
