By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

The company for the implementation of the Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (IAP) should be established in the coming months, Croatia’s Plinacro company, one of the participants of the Project Management Unit for IAP, told Trend.

“Plinacro, as well as other members of the IAP project, participated in the fifth meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council. During this meeting, a meeting of the Operative body for the development of the Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (Project Management Unit – PMU) was also held, where more specified details on the establishment of the IAP Company were agreed,” said the company.

The IAP Company, whose owners will be national operators of transmission systems of the countries included in the Ionian Adriatic Pipeline project, should be established in the following next months, said Plinacro.

IAP is a proposed natural gas pipeline in Southeastern Europe that will stretch from Albania through Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Split in Croatia. It will be connected with the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). The capacity of the pipeline will amount to five billion cubic meters of gas per year.
