Import of oil bitumen to Georgia declines

Imports of oil bitumen to Georgia in July 2019 amounted to 19,300 tons, which is 200 tons less than in June 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Georgian Oil Products' Importers Union.

Some 96.9 percent of oil bitumen was imported from Iran, 500 tons (2.6 percent) were imported from Iraq, and 100 tons (0.5 percent) - from Azerbaijan.

Import of oil bitumen into Georgia in January-July 2019 amounted to 82,900 tons, which is by 37,500 tons more than in the same period in 2018 (45,400 tons).

In July 2019, import of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) into Georgia amounted to 1,800 tons, exceeding the figure of 400 tons in June 2019.

Import of liquefied petroleum gas in January-July of 2019 amounted to 9,000 tons, which is 1,200 tons more than for the same period in 2018 (7,800 tons).
