An increasing demand for the crude oil in Vietnam is an optimistic signal to approach Azeri Light crude oil from Azerbaijan, a representative of the Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) told Saigon Online (SGGP Online), Trend reports on October 4.
The representative of BSR also stressed that the quality of Azeri Light crude oil is very similar to the crude oil exploited from Bach Ho oil field in the Cuu Long basin of the East Sea and it can processed with high mix ration.
Currently, there are two oil refineries in Vietnam including Dung Quat Refinery under the BSR and Nghi Son Refinery. Taking into account that domestic supply meets only 70 percent of refinery’s need, it has to fill the gap in order to stabilize the production.
