Romania and Russia have extended their gas transmission contract until 31 December 2019, Trend reports citing Romania’s Transgaz SA company.

“The National Gas Transmission Company Transgaz SA and Gazprom Export, the limited liability company from the Russian Federation, agreed to extend the contract for gas transmission on the territory of Romania by 3 months until 31 December 2019,” reads the message.

This extension of the contract duration ensures that the transmission of gas from the Russian Federation to Turkey, Greece and other South-Eastern European countries is carried forward, said the company.
