Iran’s Hegmataneh Petrochemical Complex expected to be commissioned next year

Hegmataneh Petrochemical Complex, a producer of medical grade PVC, is expected to be commissioned in spring 2020 in Iran’s Hamadan province, CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Behzad Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing Mehr news agency.

“The plant will supply 45,000 tons of products a year,” Mohammadi said.

Medical grade PVC compounds are widely used in manufacturing variety of products for pharmaceutical and hospital industries, such as blood bags, blood transfusion sets, IV bags, oxygen masks and others.

Mohammadi said that NPC supported the project development and construction work.

Mohammadi noted that the PVC grade produced in the facility is of special importance to the country, adding that, with the support of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and the NPC, the financial means required for completing the project have been obtained and the construction is going according to the schedule.

“There are currently 56 petrochemical plants operating in the country and we hope that the 57th one would be Hegmataneh Petrochemical Complex,” CEO added.
