Turkmen traders exporting oil products to neighboring countries

Turkmenistan’s Turkmen Petroleum company is actively expanding the sales markets for products manufactured at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR), Trend reports referring to the Turkmennebit State Concern.

From January through September of 2019, the company exported more than 500,000 tons of various oil products, which corresponds to the volume of oil products exported for the whole last year. By the end of this year, there are plans to bring total sales to 800,000 tons.

Since 2016, the company has been an international trader of TCOR; it has offices in Dubai (UAE) and Frankfurt am Main (Germany), the report said.

Liquefied gas, diesel fuel and aviation kerosene are sent to Afghanistan. Aviation kerosene and oil bitumen are supplied to Uzbekistan, and polypropylene is supplied to the Ukrainian market.

Cargo delivery to consumers is carried out by sea tankers, rail and road transport.

At the same time, all available logistics routes are involved, including the Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey (Lapis Lazuli) international transport corridors, through the Caspian Sea - along the Volga-Don Shipping Canal, along the Sea of ​​Azov and the Black Sea.

In addition, the company supplies crude oil to TCOR, which is purchased from companies operating in Turkmenistan under the terms of the Production Sharing Agreement.

TCOR includes two oil refineries in Turkmenbashi and Seydi cities. Turkmenistan plans to increase the capacity of the oil refining industry to 20 million tons of oil in 2020, 22 million tons in 2025 and 30 million tons in 2030.

Turkmenistan annually produces approximately 10 million tons of oil, a significant part of which is processed at local refineries.
