Iran’s East Oil and Gas Production Company has completed repair works as part of Phase 2 development of the Khangiran gas field in the country’s Razavi Khorasan province, said Abolqasem Irani, the company’s director for repair affairs, Trend reports via Shana news agency.
Irani said that the overhaul was completed within 10 days, adding that the purpose of the repairs was to maintain and increase gas production, as well as to ensure maximum gas production in the winter period.
The director noted that overhaul and other work at wells 48A and 48B were completed successfully, adding that the repairs were completed two days before the scheduled time.
“As a result, the company’s gas production from the field grew by 20 million cubic meters,” Irani said.
East Oil and Gas Production Company produces 62 million cubic meters of gas daily. The company has 65 gas production wells.
