Drilling was carried out at 73 oil and gas wells in Iran over the seven months (March 21 - October 22) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), Babak Zangeneh, program director of National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), Trend reports with reference to the company’s website.
Zangeneh said that exploration operations were carried out at one of 73 wells, expansion operations were carried out at 30 wells and repair work was carried out at 42 wells.
The director added that in general, the drilling work covered 99,349 meters.
“Drilling at 53 wells in the territory of the National Iranian South Oil Company, two wells in the border areas, eight wells in the territory of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company, four wells in the territory of Iran’s Petroleum Engineering and Development Company and one well in the territory of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has been completed,” Zangeneh added.
The director gave no information regarding the remaining four wells.
