SOCAR Ukraine trade house has sold more than 220,000 cubic meters of natural gas in Ukraine’s domestic market in the third quarter of 2019, an internal source told Trend.
This is while the volume of diesel fuel sales during the reporting period stood at 32,000 tons, said the source.
“Moreover, another subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Ukraine, SOCAR LPG entered the road bitumen market in early summer this year. Road bitumen 70/100 was imported from Mozyr Oil Refinery of Belarus,” the source added.
As for the filling stations of SOCAR in Ukraine, the source said that as of November 2019, there 60 stations and two oil bunkering stations that operate only during shipping.
The main activity of SOCAR Energy Ukraine is to improve the network of petrol filling stations and organize wholesale of petrol and oil products in the territory of Ukraine.
SOCAR has been operating in Ukraine since 2008.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine’s Trading House is a permanent member of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange and regularly takes part in e-trading. Its sole goal is to acquire a resource for commercial needs.
The company first participated in natural gas trading at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange e-platform on August 13, 2019. During the auction, lots of 50,000 cubic meters were traded.
