Epsilon receives gas flow from 3 wells in Zhanubiy Tandircha field in Uzbekistan

Epsilon Development Company has announced that after hydraulic fracturing on Nov. 20-21, gas inflows at three wells of the Zhanubiy Tandircha field in Uzbekistan has been received, Trend reports citing the company's statement.

The hydraulic fracturing was carried out jointly with Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

After hydraulic fracturing, the daily production rate of the Zhanubiy Tandircha-27 well increased to 180,000 cubic meters per day, Zhanubiy Tandircha-57 to 200,000 cubic meters per day and Zhanubiy Tandircha-32 to 170,000 cubic meters per day.

The total flow rate increased from 350,000 to 550,000 cubic meters per day, read the message.

In addition, work continues on the construction of gas pipelines.

As of November 21, 16, 200 tons of pipes (98.1 km) were shipped, 10,000 tons of pipes delivered (60.8 km), 20 km of trenches were dug, 30.3 km were welded into a string and 3.5 km of pipes were laid, read the message.

Work on the construction of gas pipelines will be completed on December 6, the company reported.

To provide gas to the population during the autumn-winter period, manufacturing of two main gas pipelines in a double-thread version was launched including “Nazarkuduk JV-Shurtanneftegaz” (67 km) and "JV Chigil-Mubarek GPP" (110 km).

The main activities of Epsilon are prospecting, exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons and flare gas and oil; construction of industrial facilities; construction of transport communications.

One of the missions of the company in Uzbekistan is to develop and progress new and sustainable energy projects, which will serve as a catalyst for socio-economic development at both regional and national levels.

For the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan, a consortium of investors has been established with the Thyssen Krupp (Germany), Epsilon Development Company, and Epsilon Asia Limited (Hong Kong).

In the framework of joint activities, Epsilon has already commenced large-scale exploration within the Kultak-Kamashi, Mubarak, Surkhan, Ashibulak, Koskudyk and West Fergana investment blocks.
