Oil and gas condensate production of KazMunayGas National Company (KMG) was almost unchanged year-on-year at 17.5 million tons (483,000 barrels a day) during nine months of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the press office of KMG.

In turn, natural and associated gas production increased by 2.6 percent to 6.2 billion cubic meters.

KMG's share in oil and gas production on mega fields (Tengiz, Kashagan, Karachaganak) amounted to 5.9 million tons (175,000 barrels a day) and 4.2 billion cubic meters, respectively.

KMG’s share in oil and gas production on the Tengiz increased by 2.4 percent year-on-year, amounting to 4.3 million tons and to 2.4 billion cubic meters, respectively.

During the nine months of 2019 KMG’s share in oil and gas production of the Kashagan increased by 6.5 percent and 9.7 percent to 838,000 tons and 503 million cubic meters, respectively.

KMG’s share in oil production of the Karachaganak decreased by 8.1 percent year-on-year to 760,000 tons. Gas production decreased by 2.2 percent to 1.3 billion cubic meters.

During the nine months of 2019 KMG’s share in production of operating assets was slightly down and amounted to 11.6 million tons (308,000 barrels a day). The production decrease of operating assets is primarily driven by the natural decline of oil production at Kazgermunai and PetroKazakhstan Inc. by 16 percent year-on-year and 14 percent year-on-year, respectively.

KMG is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
