Epsilon begins mobilization of special equipment for construction of gas pipelines in Uzbekistan

The US Epsilon Development Company, together with Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz oil and gas company, began mobilizing special equipment and technical resources to begin construction of the Chigil-Mubarek and JV Tandircha-Shurtanneftegaz gas pipelines in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the company's message.

As of December 1 of this year, 23,000 tons of pipes (131.5 km) were shipped, 17,300 tons of pipes (103.5 km) were delivered, 47 km of trenches were dug, 60.5 km were welded into a string and 8 km of pipes were laid.

Over the past day, from November 30 to December 1, 6.2 km of trenches were dug and 0.8 km of pipes welded into a string.

Construction work is ongoing around the clock at a faster pace. The gas pipeline laying speed is, on average, 4 km per day. The construction of the first line of Nazarkuduk-Shurtanneftegaz is to be completed on December 3, 2019, the report said.

Moreover, on December 1, after hydraulic fracturing at the Kirkchashma-1 well, an inflow of oil of up to 15 tons per day was received. According to government’s decision, the extracted volume is sent strictly to the domestic market, the report said.

The main activities of Epsilon are prospecting, exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons and flare gas and oil; construction of industrial facilities; construction of transport communications.

One of the missions of the company in Uzbekistan is to develop and progress new and sustainable energy projects, which will serve as a catalyst for socio-economic development at both regional and national levels.
