Azerbaijan exports over 14% of oil bitumen to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11

Over 14 percent of export of oil bitumen to Georgia in November 2019 accounted for Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to Georgian Oil Products Importers Union.

The total volume of import of oil bitumen to Georgia in November 2019 amounted to 13,300 tons, which is 6,500 tons less than in October 2019.

Some 9,700 tons (72.9 percent) of imports accounted for the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Azerbaijan ranks second after Iran with 1,900 tons (14.3 percent), and Iraq ranks third with 1,700 tons (12.8 percent).

Import of oil bitumen to Georgia from January through November of this year amounted to 163,600 tons, which is 70,000 tons or 74.8 percent more than in the same period last year (93,600 tons).

The import of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Georgia in November 2019 amounted to 1,100 tons, which is 500 tons less than in October 2019.

Import of liquefied petroleum gas to Georgia from January through November of this year amounted to 15,400 tons, which is 2,600 tons or 20.3 percent more than the same period last year (12,800 tons).
