BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 14

By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

Oil production of Iran’s Arvandan Oil and Gas Company will increase by about 20,000 barrels a day, Reza Abbasi, director for technical issues of the company, said at the 11th Khuzestan Specialized Exhibition of Domestic Manufacturing of Petroleum and Drilling Industry Equipment, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.

Abbasi noted that eight wells have been repaired in order to offset the decline in oil production and increase production at Darkhovin oil field.

Abbasi added that four new wells were drilled and improved, noting that this increase will be achieved through equipment installation in the wells and pipeline construction.

Emphasizing the importance of environmental protection, the company official said that under a flare gas sale agreement, a contract was signed with an Iranian company to collect and sweeten about 50 million cubic foot (about 1.4 million cubic meters) of gas daily.

Abbasi said that repair of four wells at Darkhovin oil field and drilling one well for effluent injection is included in the program for this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019). The well will also be drilled to protect the environment, the director added.

The 11th Khuzestan Specialized Exhibition of Domestic Manufacturing of Petroleum and Drilling Industry Equipment opened in Ahvaz city with the participation of 260 companies on Dec. 13 and will last until Dec. 16.
