TEHRAN, Iran, Dec.24

Trend:

The National Iranian Gas Company has promised to invest 200,000 billion rials (about $4.7 billion) into gas supply to the Sistan and Baluchestan Province by 2021, said the province governor, Ahmad Ali Mohebati, Trend reports via SHANA.

“The implementation of gas supply plans to the province have been accelerated and all the obstacles have been resolved, but there are problems regarding roads. Fixing these requires time," Mohebati said.

"Chabahar and Konarak power plants are still using liquid fuel and still waiting for completion of the Iranshahr-Chabahr gas pipeline that will replace the liquid fuel with gas for consumption there," he said.

"Installation of Zahedan – Zabol gas pipeline continues and the construction of Zahedan – Dashtak gas pipeline has a progress level of 65 percent, hopefully, it reaches Zabol by September 2020," he said.

"The contractors continue working on Iranshahr-Khash -Mirjaveh gas pipeline installment, hopefully the gas supply will reach city of Khash in the middle of next Iranian year (begins on March 21,2020)," he said.
