Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz JCS oil and gas company jointly with the international consulting company Ernst and Young (EY) is implementing a project to increase the operational efficiency and reliability of production processes of enterprises of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy.
This project was initiated by Uzbekneftegaz JSC, in the framework of the Decree of Uzbekistan’s President “On measures to provide economy and population with stable energy resources, financial recovery and improvement of the oil and gas industry management system” and the transformation program implemented by the Company.
The project will be implemented in stages, in three main areas of the company’s activity - hydrocarbon production, processing and in-field transportation.
The direct implementation of the project will be carried out in such major divisions of the company as Andijan, Mubarek, Shurtanskoye, Gazli oil and gas producing unit and Ustyurt gas producing unit, Mubarek gas processing plant, Shurtan gas chemical complex, as well as Bukhara and Chinaz refineries.
The objectives of the project are: to increase the coefficient of operation of wells, increase the efficiency of the system of maintenance and repair, reduce the cost of repairs, increase the overhaul period, reduce losses during transportation of hydrocarbons, and increase the load factor of pipelines.
The management of Uzbekneftegaz JSC provides for the development and implementation of an effective enterprise management system, the formation of a combined technical and service maintenance strategy, as well as the implementation of the import substitution program. This, in turn, will entail the further development of Uzbekistan’s business, the creation of new jobs in the country and the increase of social indexes of the Company.
In addition, Ernst and Young will train employees of Uzbekneftegaz JSC in the implementation of the target process model.
Uzbekneftegaz JSC expects that the results of the projects will give a tangible economic effect for both the company and the industry as a whole.
