The fourth well was commissioned at the Tumaris gas condensate field in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy.

"An industrial inflow of natural gas was obtained with a preliminary flow rate of 110,000 cubic meters per day," the report said.

Currently, out of four wells in the field, 720,000 cubic meters of natural gas are daily produced. It is processed and delivered to consumers through gas pipelines.

Tumaris field is located on the border of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz JSC oil and gas company opened it in August 2018.

Commercial inflow of natural gas and condensate was obtained at Tumaris gas condensate field during the testing of the first prospecting well from the Upper Jurassic deposits in the 2028-2020 m depth interval at the rate of 300,000-400,000 cubic meters per day.

The reserves are estimated at 5.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 131,000 tons of gas condensate.

Earlier, Uzbekneftegaz said it plans to spend US$ 3.9 billion that by 2022 to increase hydrocarbons production, forecasting an increase in natural gas production up to 53.5 billion cubic meters , gas condensate – 1.1 million tons and oil – 1, 9 million tons.
