Two newly re-drilled wells of Shimali Berdak field in Muynak district of Uzbekistan started producing natural gas, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz press service.

Drilling operations have been completed at wells 83 and 84 of Shimoli Berdak field of Ustyurt Gas Production Department of Uzbekneftegaz.

As a result of development, a daily natural gas inflow of 50,000 cubic meters was received from each well.

At present, the wells are being connected to the gas reservoir for further gas supply to the Sharkiy Berdak gas processing plant.

On February 6, Uzbekneftegaz announced that the well that was abandoned 26 years ago was repaired in Kashkadarya field and now will be able to produce natural gas again.

Recently, resident of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting at which the head of state instructed Uzbekneftegaz to critically analyze each field and ensure the increase in gas production.
