Turkey increases share of natural gas in electricity generation

The share of natural gas in electricity production in Turkey increased by 4.41 percent in January 2020, and 26,828.67 megawatts of electricity were produced with usage of natural gas, Trend reports referring to Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

The share of electricity produced with usage of natural gas was 31.56 percent, according to the EPDK report.

In January 2020, a total of 84,998.02 megawatts was generated in Turkey as a whole, which is 2.1 percent more compared to the same month of last year.
