Uzbekistan reduces prices for imported diesel fuel

Uzbekistan will reduce prices for imported diesel fuel starting from April 3, 2020, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz press service.

From March 1, 2020, the cost of imported diesel fuel was reduced from 7,500 soum ($0.78) to 7,300 soum ($0.76).

From April 3 this year, the cost of this imported diesel fuel will be reduced to 7,000 soum ($0.73).

As reported earlier, Uzbekneftegaz, for for the first time in its history, has launched production of environmentally friendly and high-quality Euro-4 and Euro-5 diesel fuel on March 30, 2020

As for pricing, it should be noted that the cost of diesel fuel sold through Uzbekneftegaz network of gas stations is 11.5 percent cheaper than the cost of diesel fuel sold to the population by foreign companies.

"We are constantly studying and analyzing the issue of forming the cost of sold products to the population," explained Mirzokhid Musayev, director of UNG Petro enterprise of JSC Uzbekneftegaz.

Earlier Uzbekneftegaz announced that price for imported RON-92 gasoline was reduced in Uzbekistan from 6,200 to 6,000 soum ($0.6).

The national holding company Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
