Decrease of prices on some petroleum products observed in Kazakhstan

Prices of industrial manufacturers of Kazakhstan decreased by 1.7 percent over the period from January through March 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Decrease of prices in March compared to January was observed in mining industry by 3.2 percent, and in processing industry by 0.5 percent.

Prices of industrial goods decreased by 2.1 percent, whereas prices of services of industrial nature increased by 2.1 percent.

In March 2020, prices of industrial manufacturers on oil decreased by 5 percent, on mazut by 2.8 percent, on petrol by 0.7 percent, on diesel fuel by 0.3 percent. Increase of prices was observed on metal ores by 9.3 percent, on natural gas by 1.5 percent, on coal by 0.3 percent.

The data also said that decrease of prices was observed on zinc during the reporting period by 7.5 percent, on ferrous metals rolling by 6.4 percent, on copper by 3.3 percent, on lead by 2.7 percent. In turn, increase of prices was observed on precious metals by 2.4 percent and on aluminum by 1.4 percent.

Decrease of prices among food items producers was observed on rice by 2 percent, on poultry meat by 1 percent, on fish by 0.6 percent.

Increase of prices was observed on cereals and rye flour by 3.4 percent each, cattle meat by 2 percent, milk products by 1.9 percent, vegetable oil by 1.8 percent, wheat flour by 1.3 percent, noodles by 0.9 percent, tea by 0.7 percent, bread and sugar by 0.5 percent.
