The production of heavy polyethylene by Jam Petrochemical Company at Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Company of Bushehr province in southern Iran went over the projected amount last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said Payam Rafiei, the head of heavy polyethylene exploitation plant of Jam Petrochemical Company, Trend reports citing the company's official website.

According to Rafiei, the company's plant produced 308,000 tons of heavy polyethylene, while the forecast was to produce 306,000 tons, considering the 35-day shutdown last year, but the plant was shut down for just 15 days.

The official said that the variety of products at the plant is of great importance.

Jam Petrochemical Company produces butadiene, butente, heavy polyethylene (HDPE), light polyethylene (LLDPE) and olefin.
