Epsilon gets hydrocarbon inflow from Uzbekistan's new Shimoliy Beshkent field

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2

The US Epsilon Development Company LLC obtained inflow of hydrocarbons from Shimoliy Beshkent-1 well (Kultak-Kamashi investment block) of Uzbekistan on May 1, 2020, Trend reports citing the company.

The estimated reserves of the new field discovered by Epsilon reach 4 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 300,000 tons of oil.

All operations are carried out in full compliance with sanitation and epidemiological requirements and environmental standards. The extracted hydrocarbons will be supplied to the domestic market to cover the needs of the population.

The main activities of Epsilon are prospecting, exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons and flare gas and oil; construction of industrial facilities; construction of transport communications.

One of the missions of the company in Uzbekistan is to develop and progress new and sustainable energy projects, which will serve as a catalyst for socio-economic development at both regional and national levels.

For implementation of projects in Uzbekistan, a consortium of investors has been established with the Thyssen Krupp (Germany), Epsilon Development Company, and Epsilon Asia Limited (Hong Kong).

In the framework of joint activities, Epsilon has already commenced large-scale exploration at Kultak-Kamashi, Mubarak, Surkhan, Ashibulak, Koskudyk and West Fergana investment blocks.

To date, the company has discovered seven new fields with the growth of gas reserves exceeding 26 billion cubic meters.
