Petrol prices decline in Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4

Prices of industrial manufacturers of Kazakhstan decreased by 12.5 percent over the period from January through April 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Decrease of prices by 23.8 percent in April compared to January was observed in mining industry, whereas in processing industry increase by 0.7 percent was observed.

Prices of industrial goods decreased by 14 percent, while prices of services of industrial nature increased by 2.3 percent.

In April 2020, prices for fuel oil fell by 34.3 percent, oil by 31.1 percent, petrol by 10.1 percent, diesel fuel by 6.8 percent.

In turn, prices on metal ores increased by 9.4 percent, natural gas by nine percent, liquefied propane and butane by 4.9 percent, coal by 1.4 percent.

Zinc prices decreased by 8.6 percent, rolled ferrous metals - by 5.6 percent, copper - by 4.1 percent, lead - by 3.5 percent. In turn, increase of prices was observed on precious metals by 9.7 percent, aluminum by five percent.

Increase of prices was observed on cereals by 6.9 percent, livestock meat by 4.8 percent, poultry meat by 0.9 percent, wheat flour by 5.1 percent.

Rise in prices was observed on rye flour by 3.6 percent, tea by 3.9 percent, dairy products by 3.3 percent, sugar by 3.1 percent, rice by 2.9 percent, pasta and vegetable oil by 2.2 percent, and bread by 1.1 percent.
