Turkmenistan talks repairs carried out at Naip gas field

Comprehensive work on the overhaul of one of the substations at the Naip gas field in Turkmenistan's Lebap region has been completed by 60 percent, Trend reports with reference to Nebit – Gaz electronic newspaper.

Over 60 specialists of the Turkmengas State Concern are carrying out the repair work. The repairs should result in increase of reliability of power supply at the substation, while necessary upgrades will allow to replace outdated equipment with modern one.

The wrap up of the necessary work at the substation would allow to significantly increase increase gas and condensate production.

Meanwhile, thanks to the Turkmengas State Concern's repairs at the Kukurtli field, the production for natural gas there was over-fulfilled by 40 percent during the first five months of 2020.

Natural gas production in this field amounted to 2.7 billion cubic meters for the reporting period.

Turkmengas State Concern performs operational and technical control at the Kukurtli, Malay, Bagadja, Sakar, Farap, and Tajibay fields.

Recently, Siemens company announced plans to provide the department with portable compressor units, which were designed to improve the supply of hydrocarbon feed to a gas processing plant in the Naip field in Turkmenistan’s Lebap region.
