Turkmenistan’s Turkmengeology State Concern is studying the geological structure of reservoirs, as well as working to identify hydrocarbon resources, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gas newspaper.

Based on the obtained results, it is planned to start preparing for drilling, the report says.

The volume of geophysical research and work on wells has increased significantly in 1H2020. In addition, exploration is currently underway in areas where oil and gas resources are believed to be available.

Work is being carried out simultaneously on the country's territory of the Malay gas field, as well as on the territory of Topazguy.

According to the plan, the first stage of exploration work on the territory of Topazguy should be completed by November 2020 and the next stage should begin.
