New inflow of natural gas received at Turkmenistan's Tajibay field

A new inflow of natural gas with a daily flow rate of 400,000 cubic meters has been received at Turkmenistan’s Tajibay gas field, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gas electronic newspaper.

The productive reservoir of the new well is located at a depth of 3,700 meters.

The search and exploration work was carried out by Turkmengeology State Corporation of the country.

Tajibay, located in the South of the Lebap region, was commissioned in December 2019. Tens of millions of cubic meters of gas have already been obtained from the first production well of this field.

As reported, the total oil resources in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea are currently estimated at 12.1 billion tons of oil and gas condensate.

At the same time, the country's gas reserves in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea are estimated at 6.1 trillion cubic meters.

Since recently, the country started introducing digital technologies in oil companies, as well as improving the production activities of concerns based on the fact that prices for hydrocarbon resources have fallen in the world.

Increasing the volume of local oil and gas production, maintaining high growth rates and investment activity in this area are the main tasks of Turkmenistan.
