LUKOIL discloses volume of oil products’ transshipment in Azerbaijan

The volume of oil products’ transshipment by LUKOIL Azerbaijan closed joint-stock company exceeded 158,000 tons in the first half of 2020, Director General of LUKOIL Azerbaijan Zaur Jalilov told Trend.

Retail sale of petroleum products neared 99,000 tons, while small wholesale exceeded 59,000 tons, he added.

Jalilov noted that LUKOIL offers customers patented, high-quality ECTO fuel, the composition of which includes special additives.

“LUKOIL's petroleum products meet the highest international standards, as well as environmental requirements adopted in Russia and the European Union,” he said.

“At all the filling stations of the company have fuel dispensers in line with state requirements. The equipment at the filling stations is regularly checked by authorized government agencies, in accordance with the current legislation.”

PJSC LUKOIL has been operating in the Azerbaijani oil-and-gas industry since 1994, when the company joined its first international development project for the Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli oil field, one of the largest in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. LUKOIL was the first among Russian major business enterprises to start operations in Azerbaijan.

The company is presently involved in the development of Shah-Deniz, a gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani water area in the south-western Caspian Sea. Shah-Deniz is one of the largest and most capital-intensive oil and gas projects globally.

Since 1995, LUKOIL has been developing its own marketing network of world-class fuelling complexes in Azerbaijan. The company also owns a petroleum depot capable of transhipping 120 ths. tons of petroleum products annually.
