Italy imported 2,969,241 tons of oil and petroleum products from Azerbaijan from January through March 2020, as compared to 2,604,000 tons for the same period of 2019, Eurostat told Trend.
The country imported 1,174,000 tons in January, 964,949 tons in February and 830,292 tons in March 2020.
This is while in 2019, Italy imported 1,079,000 tons in January, 554,000 tons in February, 971,000 tons in March, 1,100,000 in April, 676,000 tons in May, 755,000 tons in June, 746,000 tons in July, 816,000 tons in August, 916,000 tons in September, 1,273,000 tons in October, 1,113,000 tons in November, 1,008,000 tons in December.
Azerbaijan exported 19.5 million tons of oil from January through July 2020, which is 0.02 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, according to the statistical report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the report, the total volume of exports of petroleum products in the reporting period amounted to $6.3 billion, showing an annual decrease of 48.6 percent.
During seven months of 2020, the volume of exports of petroleum products amounted to almost 705,797 tons, which is 15.4 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
