Electricity facilities commissioned in Iran's Yazd Province

More than 14 power facilities were commissioned in the Yazd Province (central Iran) today (September 7) with an investment of 3.03 trillion rials ($72.1 million), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian attended the event dedicated to the commissioning of facilities.

According to the report, a 63-kilovolt substation was commissioned in Ashkezar county, while a 63-kilovolt substation was developed in Ardakan county of Yazd Province.

“A 10-megawatt Divan solar panel station and a 5-megawatt Shams solar panel station have been commissioned. These stations will produce a total of 31.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. Furthermore, 8.77 million cubic meters of residual fuel will be saved, the spread of 21,500 tons of pollutants will be prevented and 6.98 million liters of water consumption will be reduced via these stations,” the report said.

The 8-megawatt Kiyan small-scale power plant and the 6-megawatt Tadbir Niroo small-scale power plant have also been commissioned, according to the report.
