The sales of Iran's Ghadeer Petrochemical Company amounted 5.45 trillion rials (about $129 million) in the first five months of current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020), head of the Ghadeer Petrochemical Company Abbas Karimi said, Trend reports citing the National Petrochemical Company’s official portal.
According to Karimi, this is an increase of 81 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
He added, while in the same period last Iranian year, the company's sales amounted 3.01 trillion rials (about $71.6 million).
The official noted that Ghadeer Petrochemical Company sold 42,000 tons of petrochemical products over five months.
"This is an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. However, 37,000 tons of petrochemical products were sold in the same period last Iranian year," he said.
Karimi stressed that Ghadeer Petrochemical Company produced 44,100 tons of products during the reporting period.
“In addition, Ghadeer Petrochemical Company has taken important steps to eliminate the monopoly on the sale of exported products during 5 months,” he said.
The official emphasized that so, the number of companies participating in the auction held in the last month on the sale of products in the company reached 36, and the products for exports were sold to 15 companies.
