Electricity potential of Iran's thermal power plants up

The electricity generation capacity of Iran's thermal power plants has increased by 1,230 megawatts from the beginning of the current year Iranian (March 20, 2020) to September 22, said Hamidreza Azimi, Deputy Director of Thermal Power Plants (TPPs) Holding Company, Trend reports citing the company’s official portal.

The deputy director emphasized the electricity generation potential of Iran's thermal power plants increased to 68,388-megawatt hours in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020) with the commissioning of new units at Dalaho, Ferdowsi, and Qeshm thermal power plants.

Azimi added that so far, 580 electricity generation units have been established at 129 thermal power plants in Iran.
