Eni increases natural gas production at its Kazakhstan-based fields

Italian Eni was producing 144,000 barrels of oil and natural per day at its fields in Kazakhstan in 3Q2020 as compared to 169,000 barrels in 3Q2019, Trend reports citing Eni.

In turn, Eni’s oil and natural gas production in Kazakhstan in 9M2020 stood at 162,000 barrels per day as compared to 146,000 barrels per day.

Production of liquids in Kazakhstan amounted to 101,000 barrels per day in 3Q2020 as compared to 118,000 barrels per day in 3Q2019. Liquids output over 9M2020 stood at 110,000 barrels per day, which indicates a jump from 96,000 barrels per day in 9M2019.

Eni’s natural gas production in Kazakhstan amounted to 232 million standard cubic feet per day and 275 million standard cubic feet per day over 3Q2020 and 9M2020 respectively which also is compared to 277 million standard cubic feet per day and 267 million standard cubic feet per day in 3Q2019 and 9M2019.

Eni has been present in Kazakhstan since 1992. The company is a joint operator of the Karachaganak field and an equity partner in various projects in the Northern Caspian Sea, including the giant Kashagan field.
