Kazakhstan extracted 71.6 million tons of oil and gas condensate over 10 months of 2020, which is 0.2 percent more than the planned volume, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev said, Trend reports citing the press office of Kazakhstan’s prime minister.
Thus, 22.2 million tons of oil were extracted at the country’s Tengiz field (1 percent below the plan), 12.7 million tons at Kashagan field (corresponds to the plan), and 10 million tons at Karachaganak field (2 percent more than the plan).
Kazakhstan also exported 57.5 million tons of oil during the reporting period, which also meets the plant for the reporting period of this year.
Gas output stood at 45.9 billion cubic meters during the reporting period, which is 0.7 percent above than the plan for the corresponding period. Production of the liquefied petroleum gas equaled 2.6 million tons (corresponds to the plan).
Domestic gas consumption equaled 12.3 billion cubic meters (meets the plan), whereas gas exports stood at 9 billion cubic meters.
Kazakhstan’s refineries also processed 13 million tons of oil from Jan. through Oct. 2020, which is 1.6 percent less than the plan. Furthermore, uranium output equaled 16,643 tons which is 2.7 percent more than the plan for the reporting period.
Kazakhstan has also generated 2.3 billion kWh of electricity using renewable energy sources over nine months of 2020, which is 1.3 percent more than the plan.
