Kazakhstan plans to fully automate the conclusion of contracts and the process of monitoring license and contract conditions in the field of granting subsoil use rights, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan told Trend.
The ministry noted that currently, work is being carried out on process automation, robotization, and the use of in-depth data analytics in production companies, as a part of the development of Kazakhstan's fuel and energy sector digitalization.
In order to increase investment attractiveness in the industry and minimize the human factor, an electronic auction for granting the right to subsurface use of hydrocarbons was launched this year, says the ministry.
In addition, work is underway to launch an Information system for accounting for crude oil and gas condensate, in order to ensure accounting and make operational management decisions.
"The purpose of the system is to increase the efficiency of state management of subsurface use by improving the quality of its information and analytical support through the introduction of information technologies. This system will be aimed at ensuring transparency in the process of oil production and transportation, as well as increasing tax revenues." - the ministry said.
Also, the unified state management system subsoil of Kazakhstan has been put into commercial operation since 2014, which is designed to automate the collection, storage, analysis, and processing of information in the field of subsoil use, as well as to support coordinated management decisions.
In turn, as part of the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan state program, quasi-state companies are implementing digital technologies at the enterprises of the fuel and energy sector, where technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises is carried out using elements of Industry 4.0.
