Kazakhstan's crude petroleum oil export to Romania surge in value

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 18

Kazakhstan has exported 399,368 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 114.07 million euros to Romania in August 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 2.2 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 713.1 million euros to Romania from Jan. through Aug.2020.

Thus, the August volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Romania is 6.8 percent less than in volume compared to July 2020 (428,839 tons) and is 31.2 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (581,168 tons).

August export value is also 8.9 percent more than in July 2020 (125.2 million euros) and is 53.9 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (247.9 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Romania amounted to $884.5 million over the first eight months of 2020, compared to $1.2 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Romania amounted to $831.9 million over the period from January through August 2020, compared to $1.1 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Romania amounted to nearly $52.6 million over the reporting period, compared to $53.8 million during the same period of 2019.

The total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $55.6 billion over the period from January through August 2020 which indicates a decrease from $63.1 billion during the same period of 2019.
